One Skill. One Week. One Step Closer to Independence.

This summer, join families from across the country as we work together to build confidence, consistency, and independence in the shower.

The 12 Weeks to Shower Independence Challenge is a free community initiative created by Clean + Comfort to help children develop essential hygiene skills through small, achievable weekly goals.

Whether your child is just beginning to tolerate water on their face or is working toward completing an entire shower routine independently, this challenge is designed to meet families where they are and celebrate progress every step of the way.

Why Join?

Learning hygiene skills can feel overwhelming for many children, especially those with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, developmental disabilities, or executive functioning challenges.

The good news? Independence isn’t built overnight. It’s built one skill at a time.

Each week, we’ll introduce a new challenge designed to strengthen a specific part of the shower routine. You’ll receive practical tips, encouragement, and resources to help your child succeed.

How the Challenge Works

  1. Sign up for the challenge by joining our newsletter here on the website.
  2. Follow @cleanpluscomfort on Instagram and/or Facebook.
  3. Complete the weekly challenge at home.
  4. Share your progress on social media.
  5. Tag @cleanpluscomfort and use #12WeeksToShowerIndependence.

Every completed challenge is an opportunity to celebrate growth, build confidence, and connect with other families on a similar journey.

Prizes

Each week, one participant will be selected to receive a Clean + Comfort Shower Independence Bundle (approximately $50 value).

Every completed challenge entry also earns an entry into our Grand Prize Drawing at the end of the summer.

Official Rules & Eligibility

General Information

• No purchase is necessary to enter or win.

• Participants must complete the applicable weekly challenge and follow the entry instructions to be eligible.

• Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received each week.

Eligibility for Weekly Prize

To be eligible for a weekly prize, participants must:

• Follow @cleanpluscomfort on Instagram and/or Facebook

• Subscribe to the Clean + Comfort newsletter

• Complete the current week's challenge

• Submit a photo, video, or written progress update. Written submissions are welcome for families who prefer not to share images of their child.

• Entries may be submitted by posting on Instagram or Facebook and tagging @cleanpluscomfort with #12WeeksToShowerIndependence, or by emailing your submission to 12weekchallenge@cleanpluscomfort.com if you prefer not to post publicly.

Prize Information

• One weekly winner will be selected at random from eligible entries received during each challenge week.

• Weekly prizes and the Grand Prize are subject to availability and may be substituted with a product of equal value.

• Participants may enter multiple weeks. Each eligible weekly entry earns one additional entry into the Grand Prize drawing.

• If a winner already owns a prize item, Clean + Comfort may provide a gift card or alternate product of equal value.

Content & Promotion

• By submitting photos or videos, participants grant Clean + Comfort permission to repost and share submitted content on its website, social media channels, and marketing materials.

• We'd love to see your reaction! Weekly winners may be invited to share a photo or short video of their prize and how they're using it. Clean + Comfort may feature these stories on its website and social media channels to inspire other families.
